Milonga was founded in the summer of 2001 by Spokane native Nicolas Vigil, and has since become a household name throughout the Pacific NW. The band plays original songs, based on the musical traditions of Latin America, Spain, and the Caribbean Milonga's focus is to expose diverse audiences to a Pan-Latin musical and cultural experience.
Over the years, they have headlined and performed at several music and cultural festivals throughout the western U.S. and shared the stage with many greats like Los Lobos, Ozomatli, Quetzal, Poncho Sanchez, B-Side Players, Alejandro Escovedo, the Iguanas, and many more. Milonga's wide variety of dance grooves are frequently compared to a Latino potluck buffet, where all the best dishes from around the Spanish-speaking world are served up hot off the comal, straight outa your abuelita's kitchen. In a world of Salsa, Milonga is the whole enchilada!
